Restore the default settings

Hardware recovery:  Setup pin and GND pin short connection, the serial device server reboot, and then disconnect Setup and GND pin, restore the default setting success.

Software recovery:  Search the device through the SDC Configuration tool software and click to restore the default settings button.

Simple application

1. Install SDS Configuration to the PC of the windows system

2. Connect the Serial device server and PC to the same LAN

3. Open SDS Configuration and search for Serial device server

4. The IP address of the Serial device server and the IP address of PC are in the same segment

5. The TCP/IP Mode is set to Real COM mode.

6. Open the installed VCOMM software, work in the TCP Client mode, and create a virtual serial port manually.

7. Complete, PC will add a COM port

Serial device server configuration

There are three ways to configure Serial Device Server, Telnet console and the Web console can be enabled and disabled by Web or Telnet.

1. IE browser is logon (the default IP address 192.168.10.245).

2. SDS Configuration tools

Run the installed SDS Configuration tool, click the search device button, the device list will display the serial device server that has been searched, the double-click list item can set the parameters, and finally save the settings.

3. Telnet console, (DOS system input "telnet 192.168.10.245").

Operation mode selection

1. TCP Server mode, you need to set the local port, and the remote device should work in the TCP Client mode.

2. TCP Client mode, you need to set the target IP address and target port, and the remote device should work in the TCP Server mode.

3. UDP mode, need to set the target IP address and target port, Serial device server is working in the two modes of Server and Client.

4. Real COM mode, virtual serial mode, PC should install VCOMM virtual serial port software, the data ports of Serial device server are 6020 (PORT1) and 6021 (PORT2)

VCOMM Serial Parameter Synchronization

The default of VCOMM Parameter Synchronization mode is SYNC TCP/IP .In the SYNC TCP/IP mode, VCOMM sends the serial parameter control command to the TCP port 6100 of the serial device server.

If the "Rich Packet" item of the serial device server is enabled, then the VCOMM parameter synchronization mode should be set to the Rich Packet mode. In the Rich Packet mode, each data frame sent to the serial device server by VCOMM contains serial port parameter commands.
